After having won Cinemalaya 2015 Best Director Award for the Short Film `Lisyun qng Geografia’, and having also written the Cine Filipino 2016 film `Sakaling Hindi Makarating’, Petersen Vargas returns with the Cinema One Originals entry `2 Cool 2 Be 4gotten’.

`2 Cool 2 Be 4gotten’ is a coming-of-age story about Felix (Khalil Ramos), a friendless achiever in high school, whose life changes after the arrival of the half-American Snyder brothers, entangling him in their dark ambitions. It is a story about a friendship between two people from extreme ends of the spectrum, but sharing a common disposition in life because of their unique situation and capabilities, setting them apart from the ordinary folk.

The Gala Night was held 10:30pm on 17 November 2016 at Trinoma Cinema One to a jam-packed audience. Additional moviegoers eager to watch the film being accommodated on the aisles.

Aside from Director Petersen Vargas, Producer Alemberg Ang, and Writer Jason Paul Laxamana, the Gala Night was attended by its three lead actors, Khalil Ramos (as Felix), Ethan Salvador (as Magnum), and Jameson Blake (as Maxim). Ana Capri and Ruby Ruiz, who play the lead characters' mothers, unfortunately could not make it.

The film marks Khalil Ramos’ maturing as an actor by taking on more challenging roles. According to Khalil, the main characters underwent a special workshop to effectively flesh out their characters’ interpersonal relationships. Another difficulty was their training on the Kapampangan language. As someone whose mother is Kapampangan, I believe Khalil Ramos and Ruby Ruiz pulled it off convincingly.
