Attended the CineSB Special Edition Awards Night at the 5th Floor of the DLS-CSB SDA building. Registered. Direk Seymour Sanchez's `Caretaker’ is nominated for the `Maningning’ Category of Cine SB, together with Martin Mayuga’s `Finish Line’. Sat at the 3<sup>rd</sup> row. I learned later that this was called `CineSB Special Edition Awards Night’ instead of CineSB 7, because of the departure of Edward Cabagnot. Seemed inappropriate to call it CineSB 7. Lumipat siya sa UP.  


Guest performers were Team Elite who did high energy dance numbers. Hosts were well clad in evening wear, but everyone else wore casual.


Direk Seymour won Outstanding in Direction for `Caretaker’. Happily, Cataleya Surio won Best Actress in the Maningning Category for Martin Mayuga’s `Finish Line’. 


“Ma?” won majority in Sibol Category, “Collectorella” in Cine Verde.  

Had dinner afterwards at Rufos with Team Caretaker, and had chop suey, sisig, tapa. Afterwards, we proceeded to Crepeman Café for dessert. Tried the blueberry crepe.

Received an invite to the Premiere Night screening of `Guardians of the Galaxy Volume 2' at IMAX Theater SM North EDSA.


Watched it with friends Vin Ello, Karl Medina, Cataleya Surio, and Mac Mendoza


Cosplayers dressed as GOTG2 characters added color to the event.


GOTG2 merchandise were also on sale at the lobby, with a free GOTG Walkman pouch bag for each purchase of a t-shirt.


In Guardians of the Galaxy Volume 2, Peter Quill and his fellow Guardians are hired by a powerful alien race, the Sovereign, to protect their precious batteries from invaders. When it is discovered that Rocket has stolen the items they were sent to guard, the Sovereign dispatch their armada to search for vengeance. As the Guardians try to escape, the mystery of Peter's parentage is revealed.


The movie reunites Chris Pratt (Peter Quill/Starlord) with the team, consisting of Zoe Saldana (Gamora), Dave Bautista (Drax the Destroyer), Bradley Cooper (Rocket). Vin Diesel does the voice of Baby Groot.


Additional characters are played by Michael Rooker (Yondu Udonta), Karen Gillan (Nebula), Pom Klementieff (Mantis), Elizabeth Debicki (Ayesha), Chris Sullivan (Taserface), Sean Gunn (Kraglin), Sylvester Stallone (Stakar Ogord), and Kurt Russell as Ego.


After the movie, we went for drinks at Tomato Kick at Malingap St.
