Gerald Santos was nominated for Male Concert Performer of the Year (Prince of Ballad), Male Recording Artist of the Year, Male Pop Artist of the Year, Revival Album of the Year (The Prince of Ballad). He won for Revival Album of the Year.

 Callalily garnered 6 nominations - Rock Artist of the Year, Rock Album of the Year (Flower Power), Duo/Group Artist of the Year, Music Video of the Year (HKM), Album of the Year, and Song of the Year (Pasasalamat).

Maskulados received 3 nominations - Dance Album of the Year (Dekada), Novelty Song of the Year (Hawakan Mo Na), and Novelty Album of the Year (Dekada). They won for Novelty Album of the Year.

Princess Velasco was nominated for Acoustic Album of the Year (Acoustic Princess II) and Female Acoustic Artist of the Year, of which she won the latter.

 Rico Blanco was nominated in 3 categories (Rock Artist of the Year, Rock Album of the Year - Galaktik Fiestamatik, and Music Video of the Year - Burado), and won for Rock Artist of the Year.

 GLOC 9 won for Album of the Year (Mga Kwento Ng Makata), and Music Video of the Year (Sirena).

Noel Cabangon - nominated for Male Pop Artist of the Year, Acoustic Album of the Year (Tuloy ang Biyahe), Male Acoustic Artist of the Year. He won Male Acoustic Artist of the Year.

1st Runner Up of The Voice of the Philippines, Klarisse, performed at the Awards Night.

 Regine Velasquez bagged the `Female Concert Performer of the Year' award at the 5th PMPC Star Awards. No, that's not Ogie Alcasid beside her. Ka-height lang niya si Ogie.

Nominated for Female Concert Performer of the Year and Concert of the Year (Foursome), Pops Fernandez received the award for Concert of the Year and Male Concert Performer of the Year on behalf of Martin Nievera.

Jessa Zaragoza - nominated for Female Recording Artist of the Year, Female Pop Artist of the Year, for which she won the latter.

1:43 was nominated for Song of the Year (Sa Isang Sulyap Mo), Album of the Year, Pop Album of the Year, Duo/Group Artist of the Year. They won Song of the Year and McJim Style of the Night (Special Award).

Jed Madela won for Male Recording Artist of the Year.

PMPC Officer and Auditor Mell Navarro
