SAPI by Brillante Mendoza - Private Screening at Solar Films

ANO ANG KINAKATAKUTAN MO?

Dante explains that for the casting, he needed actors who has no projects for a particular time period. Shooting dates are uncertain and depends on major factors like, for example, when a call is received for an actual possession taking place. The actors would then be called on the spot and they would head off to the location and witness the Sapi.

Direk Dante says basically there is no script, only the situations are presented. Everyone is free to wing it. Actress Meryll Soriano talks about `giving in to the process'. There is no other way to do it. She actualy uilt her character during the shoot.

Film critic Philbert Dy of `Click the City' interviews Direk

Animal Imagery : If `Serbis' had the goat, `Sapi' has the sawa. Suddenly appearing out of nowhere and being the focus of attention, I wonder if this was a trademark of a Dante Mendoza movie. Other animals make cameos throughout, like the cockroach and the dog.

The characters' first names are also the first names of the real actors/actresses who play them.
