GMA 7 was the big winner at the 5th Golden Screen TV  Awards held  last March 21 at Teatrino Greenhills. The Kapuso station received 30 awards, while ABS-CBN got 22 trophies and TV5 had two.
Cast members of GMA's "My Husband's Lover" led the acting awards for drama. Dennis Trillo, who played the gay Eric del Mundo in "My Husband's Lover (MHL)," won as Outstanding Actor in a TV drama; while his costar Carla Abellana, who portrayed Tom Rodriquez's wife, won for Outstanding Actress in a TV drama.

"Bihira lang ako magkaroon ng award for my performance on TV kaya importante ito dahil binigay nila sa akin ito nung ginawa ko ang isang mahalagang project sa buhay ko, yung "My Husband's Lover," Dennis told the press after the ceremony.

Carla thanked her costars for the great teamwork on the set of MHL.  The Kapuso actress, who recently admitted having a relationship problem with Geoff Eigenmann, didn't mention him in her acceptance speech.

"Kung hindi dahil sa mga katrabaho ko, hindi magiging ganoon kaganda ang "My Husband's Lover," so I give all credit to them," she said.
Kapuso star Kevin Santos received his first award ever, Outstanding Supporting Actor in a Drama Program, for his performance in MHL. Another star from the said teleserye, Glydel Mercado, received the Outstanding Supporting Actress in a Drama Program award.
